3-O-ETHYL ASCORBIC ACID

The chemical compound 3-ethyl ascorbic acid is a stable vitamin C derivative and is used in cosmetics for its whitening, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and elasticity-promoting properties. (1,2,3) In one study, an emulsion (O/W) containing 3% ascorbic acid was shown to improve epidermal-dermal microstructure and reduce fine lines and wrinkles after application. (4)
