C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate is a cosmetic oil of synthetic origin with a light, silky skin feel. It improves the spreadability of cosmetic formulations and has slightly occlusive properties that can reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). Due to its structural properties, it is also often used as a solvent for chemical UV filters in sunscreen formulations. (1) (2)
