SODIUM ACRYLATES COPOLYMER
Sodium acrylates copolymer is a water-soluble polymer that has a film-forming, emulsion-stabilizing and viscosity-controlling effect. (1) Polymers are small molecules consisting of repeating units of chemically linked monomers. They are ubiquitous in nature, e.g. the DNA of all living cells, the protein and starch in our food all consist of polymers. The polymers most commonly used in cosmetics have cationic charges, which give the skin a smooth and nourishing effect. Other polymers can, for example, form a film on the surface of the skin. (2)
