Basic skin care routine

THE DAILY BASIC SKIN CARE ROUTINE

Optimal skin health doesn't need many skin care products, but the right ones: a mild but effective cleanser, moisturizing toner and moisturizer with highly effective ingredients.

Individual skin health and cosmetic skin types

With so much information and skin care products on the skincare market, it's easy to lose track. Which products are actually necessary and how should they best be used? The key is to understand your own skin type and consider your individual needs. You can easily determine your own cosmetic skin type at home by washing your face with lukewarm water and assessing the condition of your skin after 30 minutes. If the skin is tight, flaky or dry, you have a dry skin type. Is the skin shiny? Oily skin. Oily skin in the T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) and on the cheeks is normal or rather dry, indicating combination skin. Based on the individual result, different active ingredients, also known as actives, can then be added to the individual skincare routine to target specific skin needs.

Which skin types is DR. EMI ARPA SKIN suitable for?

To launch her skincare line, dermatologist Dr. Emi Arpa developed the Core Collection, consisting of three skincare products suitable for all skin types and conditions: normal skin, dry skin, combination skin, oily skin, dehydrated skin, sensitive skin, blemish and acne-prone skin, and even rosacea and redness-prone skin.

The Core Collectionconsisting of gel cleanser, toner and moisturizer, offers a basic skincare routine and is even suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. All formulations are evidence-based and optimize individual skin health.

The DR. EMI ARPA Core Collection

The highly effective ingredients of the gel cleanser, toner and moisturizer in the DR. EMI ARPA Core Collection can transform the skin's appearance with daily use as follows: the skin microbiome is brought into balance, the skin's own protective lipid layer is built up and the skin barrier as a whole is strengthened. The result: incomparable glow and skin with long-lasting moisture. This works thanks to innovative active ingredients that are carefully used in effective concentrations based on scientific evidence.

The optimal skincare routine: cleanser, toner, moisturizer

The basic skincare routine for each day consists of the following three steps: cleansing (CLEANSE), toning (PREPARE) and moisturizing (MOISTURIZE). All three steps should be carried out in this order in the evening.

CLEANSE - The Ten out of Ten Gentle Gel Cleanser is a mild gel cleanser that gently but effectively removes make-up, excess sebum, sun protection products and environmental impurities from the skin.

PREPARE - The Essential Essence Skin Balancing Toner prepares the skin optimally for subsequent care with moisturizing, soothing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant ingredients.

MOISTURIZE - This is followed by the moisturizer called Barrier Boost CPA Barrier Repair provides the perfect finishing touch by building up the skin barrier, strengthening it and protecting it from environmental aggressors.

In the morning, this skincare routine can be used in a modified form. Dry skin types do not necessarily need a cleanser - washing your face with lukewarm water may be sufficient in the morning. Toner and then moisturizer can then be applied again. Both DR. EMI ARPA SKIN products moisturize, soothe and strengthen the skin barrier. Essential in the morning at any time of year: apply a sunscreen after the moisturizer to protect the skin from harmful UV radiation, minimize the risk of skin cancer and prevent UV-A-induced skin ageing.

PS: Dermatologist Dr. Emi Arpa and her team are working hard on a DR. EMI ARPA sunscreen to complete this skincare routine. Until then, a selected sunscreen with SPF 50 (UVB protection) and high UVA protection should be used daily. Sign up for our newsletter here to be the first to know when DR. EMI ARPA sun protection is launched.
