ACETYL HEXAPEPTIDE-8
Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 is a synthetic peptide and is often used as a neurocosmetic active ingredient. In studies (in vitro), it modulates components of the SNARE complex, which can attenuate mimic micro-contractions - often described as "botox-like" (cosmetic, non-injectable mechanism). (1-2) Application tests report a smoothing of fine lines. In the eye area, additional brightening and soothing effects were observed in the tired-looking eye area. Manufacturer data show that the activity of tyrosinase - a key enzyme in melanin formation - can be inhibited (in vitro) and thus contribute to a more even skin tone. (3-4)
