MALTODEXTRIN
Maltodextrin is a plant-based starch sugar. It is used in cosmetic formulations in a variety of ways, for example for absorption, as a binding agent, emulsion stabilizer and film former as well as a skin care and hair conditioning agent. (1) Maltodextrin is also frequently used as a carrier for active ingredients and plant extracts - for example, to improve the incorporation of active components into the formulation. (2)
