FAQ
The sun fluid is your daily sun protection for the face, neck and décolleté and is generally suitable for all skin types. It offers a high level of UV protection and leaves a silky, transparent finish. If you prefer a natural, glowy finish, the Daily Defense SPF 50 Fluid is suitable for you. The Daily Defence SPF 30 Fluid will suit you better if you prefer an even lighter texture with a semi-matte finish. Both SPF fluids have a light texture and blend transparently into the skin.
You should apply sunscreen generously to your face, neck and décolleté as the last step in your morning skincare routine. The prescribed amount for adequate sun protection is 2 mg/cm². This means: Apply the Daily Defense SPF 50 Fluid in long lines to 3 fingers, which is roughly the recommended amount of sunscreen for your face, neck and décolleté.
To calculate the sun protection factor, you should first know the self-protection time of your skin (skin phototype) and how much time you will spend in the sun. If you divide the sun exposure time in minutes by the self-protection time of your skin, you will get the SPF. Example: If your skin has a self-protection time of 10 minutes and you want to spend 300 minutes in the sun, you need at least SPF 30 (300/10 = 30). The calculation also applies in reverse: self-protection time x SPF = time you can spend in the sun. With SPF 50 and a self-protection time of 10 minutes, you can theoretically spend 500 minutes in the sun, but only if the required amount has been applied correctly. Regular reapplication of sun cream is a prerequisite.
Important: The maximum time cannot be extended by applying more sun cream. After the time has elapsed, you should stay in the shade to avoid the risk of sunburn. In addition, you should always avoid the midday sun and wear textile sun protection - for example a hat or long clothing.
Sun cream for the face with SPF 50 is important for sensitive skin, because even sensitive skin needs reliable protection. The Daily Defence SPF 50 sun fluid for the face has been dermatologically tested for skin compatibility. It is also a sun fluid with SPF 50 without fragrances.
A sun fluid has a lighter texture than conventional sun creams for the face and is absorbed more quickly. The Daily Defence SPF 50 Fluid is a sun fluid or facial fluid with SPF 50. It offers the same protection as a facial sun cream with SPF 50 and is suitable for all skin types.
The Daily Defense SPF 50 Fluid offers long-lasting sun protection with SPF 50 for the face, even if you sweat or go into the water. It can therefore withstand extreme conditions as far as possible. Nevertheless, products with this designation are not completely resistant for an unlimited period of time, which is why it is still necessary to reapply after bathing or drying off.
Yes, sun protection for the face is also crucial for dry skin. The Daily Defence SPF 50 Fluid contains ectoine to moisturize and vitamin E to protect the skin from oxidative damage. It leaves a silky finish that gives the skin a natural-looking glow and is also suitable for dry skin.
SPF 50 offers a higher and correspondingly longer protection against UV rays than SPF 30. Which sun protection factor you choose for your face depends on your skin phototype (skin tone) and the associated self-protection time of your skin as well as your needs and activities.
The 3-finger rule serves as a simple guide to correctly measure the recommended amount of sunscreen, even without a measuring spoon or scale. Apply the cream along the index, middle, and ring fingers – from the base of the fingers to the tip. This amount corresponds approximately to the required application rate (2 mg/cm²) to reliably protect the face, neck, and décolleté.
The often-quoted two-finger rule, on the other hand, only applies to the face and neck. Since we deliberately extend our recommendation to the décolleté, an area that is also frequently exposed to the sun, we consistently communicate the three-finger rule.
